Time Flies

This is just a friendly reminder that time flies—especially when you’re having a good time!

Today is the last day of school for Roman, Leo, and Silas. Summer is here and I know I was anxiously looking forward to the warmer weather, lighter work schedule, and more time with the boys, but it seems like just yesterday we were heading into the gray Indiana winter.

And boom…schools out!

And not only does the school year flying by serve as a reminder of how fast time flies but this is a transitional summer for all three boys.

Next year:

  • Roman heads to the middle school

  • Leo heads to the intermediate school

  • Silas heads to kindergarten at the elementary school

  • And the neighbor twins, who have become extended brothers, head to high school.

Middle, intermediate, and elementary school—how are the boys this old?

Every morning I drink my coffee out of a mug that has a collage of pictures from summer family vacations—today’s is from our 2020 trip to New Buffalo, Michigan. Another reminder of how quickly times fly as I look at Silas taking a nap while laying on me, Roman and Leo playing together and enjoying each other in the lake, and our family picture where Ang still towers over the boys.

So, again just a friendly reminder that time flies when you’re having a good time. Before you know it school will be back in session, winter will be coming, and once again it’ll be the end of another school year.

And it’ll happen even faster than this last year.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC
