Pause

It’s okay to pause for a moment (or a little longer) to refresh while you pursue your authentic life.

Your energy will ebb and flow; you will move from periods of high energy, endless creativity and production, and feeling like you can conquer the world to periods of less energy (not necessarily low energy), brain fog and creator’s block, and feeling like you’re stuck on a treadmill going nowhere.

When you recognize your energy decreasing, don’t fight it because your body is trying to tell you it’s time to pause, take some time to recover and refuel, and get ready for the next wave of high energy, creativity, and productivity.

I’ve noticed the need to pause and refresh usually comes after periods when I am incredibly creative and productive–when the ideas are flowing, I’m creating like crazy, and it seems like I’m getting tons of work done each day–last week/weekend was one of those periods and today is one of those “pause” days.

When you take the time to pause, you don’t stop making progress and do nothing. Instead, you rest a little more, focus on the activities that keep your spirit, mind, body, and money aligned, take care of the things you have to do, and don’t force anything that isn’t coming easily (this is usually the creative work for me).

Listen to your body as to where you should pull back while you allow your Self to refuel.

The more you fight the need to pause and refuel, the longer it will take to return to the high energy, endless creativity and production, and the conquer-the-world feeling you want to return to.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC
