What Signs Are You Missing?
Yesterday, I had my closest encounter with a bald eagle, and as I look back on the sighting, it shouldn’t have happened. And when I say the closest encounter, I could see the eagle’s eye and details of its feathers–I’m not positive, but I think we even locked eyes for a second 😀. An unusual turn of events led me to be riding down the Olio bridge at the exact time the bald eagle was flying over it.
I should have been at Leo’s second basketball game when I was locking eyes with a bald eagle, but because my car was receiving an update that took longer than usual, I rode to Leo’s first game with Ang. We needed to drive separately because she was attending my niece’s birthday party with Roman and Silas while I stayed back for Leo’s game. After Leo’s first game, we made a quick trip to the mall so Ang could grab the present for the birthday party, and then we headed back home so she could pick up Roman, who had been at a friend’s house, and I could grab my car and head back to the games.
Not only should I have been at Leo’s game had my car’s update been quicker, but the timing of our drive down the bridge was influenced by the time Ang spent in the store waiting to check out. Add in the red lights we hit and the slow car we got stuck behind, and it is clear the Universe was making sure I was on that bridge at the exact time the eagle was flying over.
Seeing the bald eagle yesterday was not a coincidence; it carried a significant message and was meant to be–I know precisely what that sighting was telling me.
After we could no longer see the eagle, I asked Ang how many people on the bridge with us saw the bald eagle—not only did I have to be on the bridge then, but I had to be present to see it. She said she wouldn't have noticed it if it hadn’t been for me because she was focused on the road and thinking about getting to the party. I’m guessing very few people on the bridge saw the eagle because they were distracted by thoughts, driving, phones, or just zoned out.
I wasn’t looking for the bald eagle–I never do. They always show themselves to me when I need a message from the Universe, which I rarely know I need until after I receive it.
The Universe provides clues and hidden messages to help you along your way, but you must be aware to see them. I don’t have evidence to support this, but I have experienced the frequency and value of these messages, which have greatly increased as I have found alignment with my spirit, mind, and body. It’s almost like the more aligned I became with my Self, the more aligned I became with the Universe (you can replace “Universe” with God, gods, Higher Power, etc.).
The next time you see a majestic animal in the wild, a series of repeating numbers, an opportunity presenting itself at the right time, or a chance encounter with a person you had been thinking about, don’t dismiss those as chance or a coincidence. These types of events carry a deeper meaning, and the hidden message is discoverable only by you. Look inward, and you will know exactly what the Universe is trying to help you understand.
