When asked why his first solo album was a woodwind instrument album and not a rap album, Andre 3000 said a rap album felt inauthentic to him, and the album, New Blue Sun, centered around his flute, felt right.
Andre has always been his authentic self and has evolved with his authentic life–you can see it in how he presented his Self and hear it with his music.
It’s not a coincidence that Andre 3000’s debut solo album, which is not a rap album, is having tons of success and is one of the most talked about albums of the year.
New Blue Sun was supposed to be created, Andre was supposed to be the Creator, and he allowed it to be.
Staying true to your authentic Self and following the lead of your authentic life will always be your best guide as you continue on your Pursuit.
