Live Now

We pretend to know what the future holds for us or that our path will provide us the same opportunity to do “that thing” later in life. We delay doing important things and wait for a “better time” as if anything about the future is certain.

There have been too many life-changing businesses, memorable trips, exciting experiences, and self-improving activities that never came to fruition–the future being waited for ended up being different than expected.

The only time that exists is now—the past is merely a memory, and the future hasn’t happened yet and is uncertain, as Seneca reminds us.

Focus on doing more now, living now, and waiting less for a future that may or may not exist.
