You Gotta Have Faith—In You
“Faith allows you to trust the direction without needing to understand it.”
- Rick Rubin
So many of us place our faith in other people and organizations yet have very little faith in the one person that matters the most—our Self.
You trust friends, celebrities, anonymous accounts on social media, governments, and employers (this is really an endless list) more than you trust your own intuition. I’m sure human genetics has a little something to do with your lack of faith in your Self, but I also think a lack of alignment within your Self contributes to it as well.
It’s difficult to follow your intuition, especially when it goes against what others are doing, what you’ve been told is “right,” or takes you down a path you’ve never been before. The outside influences almost always win out over intuition when you lack conviction in your “why.”
When your why is backed by an alignment of your spirit, mind, and body, it is much easier to overcome the outside influences. Without this alignment, your intuition is merely a feeling, but with the alignment, it becomes a calling. And once you have a calling, it is easier to place your faith in that calling and your intuition and pursue it without giving in to the outside world.
There is nobody or nothing you should place more faith in than your Self. If you’re struggling to trust your intuition, have faith in the direction you are being called, and head in that direction without fully understanding, it takes some time to find the alignment of your spirit, mind, and body and see how that impacts your faith in you.
No one knows YOU better than you–find the confidence to trust and place faith in your Self.
See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,
