All you Need Is Love

If there is one word that can act as the North Star or focus for the Pursuit of your authentic life it is LOVE.

Surround your Self with people you love and who love you in return.
Spend your time, or at least as much as possible, doing the things you love.
Most importantly, love your Self, which will allow you to share love with everyone you come across.

If you are struggling to find your authentic life, take a step back and stop trying so hard and allow your heart and the pursuit of love become your guide and see if you don’t find more clarity for your Pursuit.

In the book, Proof Of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon’s Journey Into The Afterlife, the author shares his near death experience from a seven day coma caused by bacterial meningitis—a diagnosis no one has recovered from like him.

Early in his time in the Afterlife, the author receives a message from his guardian Angel:

“You are loved and cherished.
You have nothing to fear.
There is nothing you can do wrong.”

The author goes on to explain:

“If I had to boil it down further, to just one word, it would be this way:
You are loved.
And if I had to boil It down further, to just one word, it would (of course) be, simple:
Love.
Love is, without a doubt, the basis of everything. Not some abstract, hard to fathom kind of love but the day-to-day kind that everyone knows—the kind of love we feel when we look at our spouse and our children, or even our animals. In its purest and most powerful form, this love is not jealous or selfish, but unconditional. This is the reality of realities, the incomprehensible glorious truth of truths that lives and breathes at the core of everything that exists or that ever will exist, and no remotely accurate understanding of who and what we are can be achieved by anyone who does not know it, and embody it in all of their actions.”

Love.

I knew love was an important part of the Pusuit of your authentic life. I’ve talked about passions, optimism, the alignment of spirit, mind, and body, and expressing gratitude—all connected to love, but it wasn’t until recently that I realized that love can be the singular focus for your Pursuit.

Love encompasses everything your authentic life is about—and if you allow your heart and the search for love to be your guide, the details of your authentic life will become more clear.
