What They Will Remember About Your
“Before you are old, attend as many funerals as you can bear, and listen. Nobody talks about the departed’s achievements. The only thing people will remember is what kind of person you were while you were achieving.”
- Kevin Kelly
Your life’s achievements will never be as important to the world as they are to you. In time, those achievements will fade into oblivion–assuming you don’t find the cure for cancer.
But who you are will outlive your achievements:
Your character.
The way you treat others.
How you show up every day.
Your ability to be present.
The impact you have on others by being a good person.
These will be remembered–good or bad.
As you pursue your authentic life, remember it’s not about what you do, but who you are while you’re doing what you do.
See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,
JC
