What Can You Control?

Most of what will happen in your life is out of your control–the best use of your energy is not focusing on the things you cannot control, but the things you can actually influence and control.

Which leads to the question, “what can we control?”

  • Your mindset.

  • Your energy, the energy you put out AND physical energy.

  • How you process what happens to you, both good and bad.

  • Your perception, which will become your reality.

  • The people you are close to.

  • Your behavior(s).

  • Your habits.

  • How you talk to yourself.

  • How you treat others.

  • Your words.

  • Gratitude.

  • Your breath (this is a superpower not enough people use).

  • What you consume (food, content, etc.).

  • Movement to take care of your body (simple is effective).

  • Taking accountability.

  • Your smile.

This list could be never ending. It might not seem like it, but you have more control over your life than you realize and most importantly, you have control over the inputs that have the greatest impact in our life.

Being in control of these inputs does not mean everything will go your way or that managing that control will be easy. In many cases, it’s quite the opposite.

But, putting in the work spiritually, mentally, and physically to have the self-awareness and discipline to maintain the focus of controlling the inputs we can control and allow everything else to just be is well worth the effort.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC
