Developing Your Vision
I try not to highlight long passages in these Daily Notes–I usually stick to quotes to help illustrate my thoughts or just to get you to think. However, today, I am sharing a passage from the book Journey To The Heart by Melody Beattie.
I’m sharing this passage for a few reasons…
First, the message is one I’ve been sharing for over a year now, but Melody’s words are so much better than anything I’ve written.
Second, this passage is another example of synchronicity at work in my life and can help you identify the synchronicities in your life. This synchronicity actually began last Thursday in my yoga class; at the beginning of class, the instructor read a passage that I really enjoyed, and after class, I asked him if he had written it or if it was from a book. He told me it was a book, and based on his recommendation, I ordered it on the drive home.
As I made my morning coffee this morning, I read the passage for today (11.26.23) and knew it was perfect for me. As I mentioned earlier, the words on the page were sharing a message I’ve been trying to perfect for months–I thought to my Self, “Yesss!!! This is it.” Not only was it perfect because of Melody’s message, but it was also applicable to me–last night I stayed up late working on the RLS Wealth website to update the relationships page and some metadata to reflect my vision for the future of the firm and my role as an advisor.
Melody’s passage for today was perfectly on time for me this morning on a personal level.
Finally, this passage, becoming the focus for today’s note, illustrates how these Daily Notes are written each morning. I didn’t know what I would write about, and even without having the opportunity to meditate this morning (I slept in a little more since I was up late), the message revealed itself to be shared.
Ok, let’s get to this passage that was not only perfectly timed for me but also for the Daily Notes:
Take Time To Develop A Vision (11.26.23)
As above, so below. First it happens in spirit, Then it manifests in the physical. Not the other way around. First we see a vision. Our soul tells us through the words and eyes of our heart. Then the steps become clear and we see the order in which they should be taken. Then it is finished. By the time the vision has arrived, it is already, as some say, a done deal.
You waste so much time and effort when you try to accomplish something before you have envisioned it. Learn to let the vision come first. Take time to shape it in spirit before you try to shape it in physical form. If you can’t see something clearly, the vision may not be complete. Take the time you need to think about it, to let it come into focus, to let the vision take shape in your mind.
Operating from vision will guide us onto our highest path. It will also make our life and work much easier.
Take time to develop a vision for all you want to do. Let your vision guide you. When it manifests itself first in spirit, the physical form will follow.
See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,
JC
