you are a brand

This week, I had a conversation with another business owner. He shared how his company's brand was one of his highest priorities, which I respected and appreciated. You might think the service to his clients and team should be the highest priority, and you would be right. But what you might be missing is that the company’s brand addresses both of those.

So, by focusing on the company’s brand and ensuring new clients or employees are aligned with it, a high level of service, industry-leading expertise, and employee satisfaction are all maintained and the brand continues to strengthen.

His comment made me think about my personal brand and how important it is to ensure that it reflects the growth and evolution I experience as I continue to pursue my authentic life. While I know who I am in this moment and who I want to become, the world does not, and if what I represent and show the world, aka my brand, is not aligned with my authentic life, others will not see me the way I want them to. This could slow down or even prevent me from realizing the version of my Self that I am pursuing.

You may not believe this, but you have a personal brand.

And it’s not self-centered, egotistical, or arrogant to understand this and take action to ensure your brand represents the authentic you.

Your personal brand should be one of your top priorities, just like my friend’s company’s brand is for him.

As you make decisions, ask yourself whether or not it is aligned with your authentic Self and if it represents your brand. It’s important to understand and remember that the representation of your brand is less about what others think and more about staying true to your authentic Self.

The good news is living your authentic life and presenting your authentic Self to the world is the best way to ensure your brand is always on point and authentic to you.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC
