why not you?

I just finished watching NC State’s Cinderella run continue this evening after beating Duke to go to the Final Four. If you haven’t been watching NCAA basketball this March, NC State making the Final Four was unexpected–they only made the tournament because they won the ACC Conference tournament by winning 5 straight games with wins over Duke and North Carolina. Any loss in the ACC tournament and NC State is playing in the NIT Tournament or not at all. I’m not into sports betting, but I have to imagine the odds for NC State to make it out of the first round, let alone a run to the Final Four, were not very good.

After winning the ACC tournament, NC State adopted the motto “Why Not Us?”; they’ve kept the motto on their current winning streak…and why not them?

And why not you?

If there’s something you want to pursue but feel like you’re the underdog, ask your Self “Why Not Me?”

If NC State can fight their way into the NCAA tournament, win games they were not supposed to win, and be heading to Phoenix, Arizona for the Final Four, then YOU can achieve your goal, no matter how big of an underdog you think you might be.
