follow the omens

The omens have been speaking to me and after a bald eagle sighting this morning with Silas, I felt the need to address them in today’s Note.
I used to be concerned that people would think I was crazy if I shared the various signs, or omens, that I’ve used to help me navigate my Pursuit of my authentic life. It’s easy to discount bald eagles, butterflies, praying mantis, whiptail lizards, and repeating numbers but as Paulo Coelho shares in The Alchemist through Melchizedek’s quote, and other references to the omens, these signs are far from coincidental.
And the more you notice them and follow their guidance, the more they show up as confirmation or direction.
By now, you know the bald eagle is the ultimate omen for me; I recently shared how three eagle sightings combined with listening to my heart helped me make a tough decision to turn down a perfect opportunity to join a firm fully aligned with me.

Sometimes, the omens tell an obvious message—like the one I shared above. But other times, like the bald eagle I saw yesterday and the one I saw this morning, both were with Silas, they tell me that I’m on the right path and to keep pursuing.
Because of my personal experience with omens, I cannot be convinced they are not real and that The Universe/God does not send them to keep me moving with my authentic life—I am living the life, or close to it at least, that I was created to live, and it wants me to fulfill this purpose, so it communicates with me in ways I can understand.
Omens are being shared with you…are you receiving them?
We’ve never been more distracted as a society, which might make it hard to receive these omens. If I were driving and looking at my phone, I’d miss the eagles every time I see them. I’m certain the eagles have been around me my entire life but for most of it I wasn’t aware that I should be open to receiving omens—but once I began to align my spirit, mind, and body and move closer to my authentic Self, I began to notice the omens.
Seeing the omens is just the beginning.
You also have to interpret what they mean when you see them. That takes time, but eventually becomes easy to do the more you receive them–you know what they are telling you by the timing of when you receive them and what is going on in your life. For example, the eagles the last two days weren’t confirming any major decisions because there are none to be made right now. There has been a lot of progress late with my AlignedLife+ and LifeDesign+ relationships and the eagles were telling me to keep pursuing the path I’m on because good things are coming—I’m on the right path.
The eagles in the video clip I shared were telling me the answer to the decision I had in front of me; I was able to interpret this because of what was going on in my life at that time.
I’ll give you one more example of a recent omen…one that just confirmed the path I’m on.
I’ve shared in a couple of podcasts that will be out shortly and on some social outlets that I’m in the process of rebranding RLS Wealth to a new brand—the existing business isn’t changing, but the new brand represents the work I want to do going forward.
With the new brand I hired a designer friend of mine to create a new logo; he did an amazing job with the logo. There are a few hidden meanings to the image, but one particular that I want to highlight.
I didn’t notice this when I first looked at the logo, but as soon as my designer pointed it out I saw it; he included to straight lines with a circle in the middle to represent my “1 of 1” saying that I have made a staple in the PRST clothing brand–I’ve sold hoodies that have “1 of 1” embroidered on the chest to represent authenticity, reminding us that we truly are one of a kind, and as a sign that the individual wearing the hoodie is living their authentic life. He snuck that in as a nod to my creative brand PRST, the mindset that “1 of 1” represents, and that signal that each relationship with my clients is “1 of 1”, especially with AlignedLife+.
I loved it.
This week I found another meaning behind the hidden “1 of 1” that neither of us knew.
I started a YouTube page for my PRST brand where I’m going to have all videos and podcasts that are PRST productions live; this is a small foundation step for the future of the creative collective that PRST is. When it was time to choose a handle for the channel I found that @PRST was not available. I didn’t like the random suggestion that YouTube came up with, so I hit Google and asked what the angel number for “pursuing” was since the phrase for PRST is “keep pursuing”.
Google returned a couple of numbers, which I expected. What I did not expect was that one of the angel numbers that represented pursuing was 101.
Yes, not only did the hidden image my designer included in the logo act as a nod to “1 of 1”, but it also was 101, which carries a message to pursue your goals, follow your passions, and stay focused on your goals.
Not a coincidence.
Not a story I’m forcing.
Not insignificant.
Another omen that represents I am aligned, moving along the path of my authentic life, and that this rebrand is meant to be.

If you think back over your life, I’m sure you have received numerous omens. Maybe, you’ve dismissed them. Maybe, you ignored them. Maybe, you didn’t even realize it was an omen until right now.
I want to encourage you to leave your Self open to these omens understanding they are coming from a Higher Power and are there to help you. It may be difficult to interpret the message behind the omens, but as with anything, the more you practice the easier it will become. The omens also show up more often when your spirit, mind, and body are aligned, which makes sense given that is when you are most connected with your Higher Power and the lines of communication are most clear.
