Tyler, the Creator’s new album starts with this message from his mother, who acts as his guide throughout the album.

It’s an excellent message for all of us to remember because maybe we’re in a position where light seems to be shining on us, or we’re chasing others who we think have light shining on them. We need to remember that the light is within us, so we don’t need to ever worry about losing it or needing to chase it—it’s already here.

We just need to find it within and let it shine.
