Recognizing The Good Things
“...when each day is the same as the next, it’s because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives every day that the sun rises.”
- The Alchemist
If you wake up each morning feeling like you’re in the movie Groundhog Day, I have good news for you…you’re not replacing Bill Murray as the main character in a reboot of the 90’s film.
That’s the good news, but I have even better news.
To break the feeling of being stuck, living the same day each day, and lacking motivation, all you need to do is consciously express gratitude throughout the current day. Be aware of all the good the day is bringing you, no matter how small or “insignificant” it might seem to shift your perspective from Groundhog Day to an exciting new day with abundant good. It won’t take many days to break the monotony you once felt and wake up each morning excited for what the day has in store for you.
The change in your perspective will also shift your energy, making you feel better and attracting even more “good” into your life.
It’s easy to find your Self in a rut, especially if you don’t allow your Self to see and appreciate all of the good in your life–thankfully, it doesn’t take much, or long, to find the good and attract more to you.
Give it a try…throughout the day, make mental notes, or even better, write down all of the good things that happen to you. In the evening, look back at your notes with gratitude and realize that tomorrow is going to bring good things your way, too.
See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,
