Who Are You?

When you first meet someone how do you introduce your Self?

Do you lead with your profession? Do you lead with your accomplishments? Do you lead with something else that you do?

“Who are you?”

This question was posed in a guest speaker session for The AGC yesterday and the conversation that followed really intrigued me.

Many of us find our identity in what we do, rather than who we are being. One of the members of the community dropped a great line that I’d heard before but had forgotten:

We are human BEINGS, not human doings.

How you view your Self influences how you introduce your Self to the world and determines how the world sees you.

Think about how you would introduce your Self prior to today—how will you change that to reflect the human you are being?

Watch how your experience changes as you begin to share who you are, not what you do.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC
