our obligation

I gave a talk yesterday to a room full of financial advisors about life planning, how I believe it is the future of the financial planning profession, and why every advisor should go through the process to make sure they are showing up as the best version of their Selves for their clients.

I actually said something for the first time during my talk–the idea came to me in the moment, and I remember thinking to my Self after I said it, “Ooh, that’s good.”

It was something along the lines of (I haven’t watched the video yet, but this was the general idea),

“As fiduciaries, we have an obligation to our clients that we show up as the best version of our Selves.”

As I reflected on my talk and that statement on my drive home, I thought about how we all have an obligation to show up as the best version of our Selves.

The best way I know how to find the best version of our Self is by connecting to our inner Self and I only know how to do that by aligning Spirit, Mind, and Body. Through this alignment, clarity of who you are is found, the path you are to pursue reveals itself, and things begin to fall into place for you.

My talk, the conversations that followed, and the feedback from my talk reminded me how important it is to seek alignment of Spirit, Mind, and Body; more importantly, more people believe this, have experienced it, or are interested in finding their alignment than I realized.

They just may not talk about it.

I hope through these Daily Notes, the LifeDesign+ podcast, my videos, and continuing to share my Pursuit I can help normalize talking about how we can align our Spirit, Mind, and Body and how it can help us all find the best version of our Self to share with the world.

See you tomorrow (or later today) and keep pursuing,

JC
