what day
July 11th, 2024 is going to be a day that will stand out in my Pursuit.
I had the pleasure of joining my friend and former LifeDesign+ guest Grace Nikae in her Kizuna Studio to present a Masterclass on “aligning finances with your authentic life.” Going into yesterday, I was a little nervous about leading a Masterclass–that title carries some weight in my mind, so I spent more time than usual making sure I had a good flow and that I wouldn’t forget important concepts.
The conversation could not have gone better. It wasn’t perfect–I flubbed one of my favorite concepts, “it’s not I’ll believe it when I see it, instead it’s I’ll see it when I believe it.” That mistake ended up being something we could all laugh at, and they all understood my point. The important thing is despite not being a perfect talk, it was impactful; the messages I have received after left me speechless, and I’m excited about the follow-up conversations that are scheduled to come in the next few weeks—not business calls, but just continuing the conversation on an individual level.
After the Masterclass, I felt seen.
For the first time, I felt seen by the world the way I see my Self.
It’s not that I don’t value the emails, comments, and conversations that come from the Daily Notes or my LifeDesign+. I know people see me and appreciate the message I am sharing, but it hasn’t felt like I’ve been seen as the version of my Self that I am moving toward—it’s hard to explain, but I think the best way to explain the difference in yesterday vs. other days is that I felt on an emotional and spiritual level.
If you’ve ever felt this, you know what I mean; if you haven’t, I hope you do, and I will do my best to help you find that moment in your life–I’ll give you a hint at where it is found…it’s connected to your authentic life and finding alignment within your Self.
The feeling of being seen continued with an introductory Zoom call with a new friend, but someone whose podcast I’ve been listening to for a while now, Bogumil Baranowski. As we were chatting I noticed him taking notes and becoming excited about the ideas I was sharing with him—he got me! At the end of the call, we discussed joining each other on our podcasts, which will be doing over the next month or two. Knowing the quality of people Bogumil has on his podcast left me once again feeling seen for who I know I am, but the outside world had yet to see–I feel that changing.
After talking with Bogumil, I felt seen…again.
I wrapped up the day of video calls with a recording of a podcast with Grace—two calls with her in one day, which was a gift to me. Our conversation wasn’t a replay of the Masterclass and allowed me to share some ideas for the first time publicly, along with some new ideas that came up while were talking. I can’t wait for this episode to hit the podcast players!!
At the end of the recording, Grace shared some genuine and kind words with me, once again letting me know that she sees me the way I see my Self.
Why am I sharing this?
What does this have to do with your authentic life?
Well, first I wanted to let those who contributed to yesterday’s importance to know how much I appreciate their presence, energy, and kind words. The Universe felt like yesterday was a day to give me some strong signs that I am continuing to evolve in the right direction and to keep pursuing and it was through the conversations and people I talked with yesterday.
Secondly, I want to encourage you to trust your Self. If you are at the stage of your Pursuit where you are convicted about who you see your Self as and embody but don’t feel like the world sees that version of your Self yet, keep pursuing. Eventually, the world will see you as the version of your Self you know you were created to be—it always lags.
You have to believe it before you can see it, and you have to see it before the world can see it.
