the things that don’t matter

“Be ruthless to the things that don’t matter.”

- Ryan Holiday

“How many have laid waste to your life when you weren’t aware of what you were losing, how much was wasted in pointless grief, foolish joy, greedy desire, and social amusements—how little of your own was left to you. You will realize you are dying before your time!”

- Seneca

These two quotes show up on the same page in The Daily Stoic, and as I started reading In My Time Of Dying by Sebastian Junger, I couldn't help but think of the importance of these two quotes.

See you tomorrow (or later today) and keep pursuing,

JC
