it’s only luck on the outside
Yesterday a couple of my friends and I were celebrating some recent wins and some crazy momentum being experienced in our group chat and one of them mentioned something about “luck”--I can’t remember exactly what he said because it was a voice note and I didn’t save it, but as soon as I heard him say “luck”, I thought to my Self, “nah.”
I responded to the group, “I believe we create/attract our “luck”--it’s only luck to those on the outside.”
Now, I know I’m not the first to say something to this extent, and I’m sure that my response was influenced by hearing someone else say something similar, but I only shared it with my friends because I believed it.
When it comes to accomplishments or achieving goals, I don’t think luck is involved. That doesn’t mean there isn’t some aspect of luck in our lives—who we were born to, when we were born, where we were born, or being in a devastating car crash and walking away unscathed are all examples of scenarios that I would say “luck” was involved.
But launching a new business that is on the trajectory to the moon, seeing referrals to ideal clients come through, being approached to be featured on a major TV network, or finding clarity in the direction of your Pursuit are not results of “luck.”
You might see the success my friends are having and think to your Self, “damn they’re lucky—how’d they get/do x,y,z? They are so lucky.” What you don’t see is the thoughtful intention behind their decisions, the hard work being put in, the sacrifices that were happily made, and the failures along the way.
The “luck” in this group chat, and in YOUR life, was created or attracted to us.
The more I read about meta and quantum physics, the more I believe that we are responsible for the “luck” in our lives. Our thoughts, beliefs, and actions help us create “luck,” and they can also help us create the opposite, “no luck.”
Earlier this week, I shared a quote about how life is a success of moments; when I think about “luck,” I think of it as a succession of thoughts, beliefs, and actions. Each day you are either creating and attracting your future “luck” or creating and attracting your future “no luck.”
You have the ability to create your own “luck”--it is through your thoughts, beliefs, and actions, and it must be all three…the real Big Three.
See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,
JC
