reinventing a new Self

“If you want a new outcome, you will have to break the habit of being yourself, and reinvent a new self.”

- Joe Dispenza

Reinventing a new Self does not always require a drastic change from who you are today—it might. But, it could also be as simple as reinventing your Self with a bad habit that has been dropped or a good habit that has been added.

This reinvention, or advancement, of your Self must first start with your belief in that version of You. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that the habit is the beginning of the reinvention. You must first believe that you are the version of your Self that has already dropped the bad habit; without this belief–without embodying this version of your Self—you will most likely fall back into the Self you are trying to advance from.

For example, I would like to stop giving in to my weakness for sweets. The reason I have not been able to rise above this sugar addiction is that I’ve always taken the approach that I’m going to give up sweet–I would lead with the action. Within a few days, I’d cave and indulge in some type of candy or fruit snack.

Recently, I’ve shifted to a strong belief that I rarely eat sweets—not a total denial, but I’m no longer a casual consumer of candy–I’ve led with the belief that then allows me to carry out the action.

When you believe you are, and not a fake belief where you say it but don’t really believe it in your heart, a version of your Self, it sets into motion the reinvention that will lead to the new outcome you are seeking.

We all have this power, but so many of us lead with the action and not the belief.

“If you believe it, you will see it.”

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing.
