synchronicities and the closer you get to your authentic life
The closer you get to your authentic life, the more synchronicities you will see in your life, confirming you’re heading in the right direction—if you’re open to receiving them.
This week, I had a call with a third advisor interested in rediscovering their authentic Self and aligning their advisory business with who they are today via LifeDesign+. As we chatted about where he finds his Self today and what is lacking in his professional life, he shared what prompted him to reach out.
It all started with a tweet I wrote highlighting how advisors sometimes find themselves in a unique place in the middle of their careers—having a “successful” business that provides a great life but doesn’t align with who the advisor has evolved to be. He emailed me to express his interest in learning more; something about that tweet, which he saw by “chance”, resonated with him enough to learn more.
Between the time we scheduled our call and when we actually spoke, he shared he randomly listened to a podcast he’d never listened to before. He couldn’t remember why he listened to it, but midway through the episode, the guest mentioned me and gave me a shoutout for being a longtime supporter of his. He said his initial thought was that it was weird my name came up on the podcast and that it must be a sign that he was supposed to be talking with me.
“EXACTLY!” I responded.
It was not coincidence or “chance” that we were talking about LifeDesign+ and the crossroads he finds his Self at.
There are no coincidences.
It’s easy to dismiss the gentle nudges he was receiving to get in touch with me. Let’s start with the tweet; I have a little over 11,000 followers (this doesn’t include the “for you” accounts that might have had my tweet in their feed), and the particular tweet that prompted his email was only seen by 2,500 accounts; if you are active on social and pay attention to the analytics, you know that currently, reach is trash right now, which means seeing my tweet was like finding a need in a haystack.
It wasn’t “chance” that brought my tweet to his feed when he happened to be scrolling through; it was a Higher Power getting involved.
And then the podcast.
I’m not sure how often he listens to podcasts and how many he regularly follows, but it is extremely timely that a few days before our call, he decided to listen to a new show for the first time, and my name came up on that podcast. I listened to the episode, and I was surprised to hear my name come up because the title, guest, and subject would not lead you to believe I’d be any part of it.
It wasn’t “timely” that brought the podcast to him; it was a Higher Power getting involved again.
I shared that I’ve experienced that the closer I move to my authentic life and along the path calling me, the more I see synchronicities like he was experiencing. I no longer have to look for them because they are so obvious, clear, and frequent.
I told him that I can’t interpret what these synchronicities mean for HIM; I do believe they are telling him LifeDesign+ and I am what will help him reach the next level of his Pursuit, but it’s up to him to determine if that’s the message and when is the right time—but it’s certainly not a coincidence that he’s experiencing these synchronicities.
And, I also told him to expect more synchronicities like these to continue as he moves closer to where he’s supposed to be and living his authentic life.
The same is true for you—pay attention to the subtle and easily dismissible signs from above that guide you and confirm you are moving in the right direction.
