closed mouths
You know the saying, “closed mouths don’t get fed.”
Well, today’s Note is a rare self-promotional one as it's time for me to get a little snack—it’s not fully self-promotional, though.
Yesterday, two podcast episodes that I was a guest on dropped and I wanted to ensure I not only shared the conversations because I think there is some great information in them, but I also wanted to help promote both shows beyond my appearance.
First up is The Scuttlebutt Club, a podcast that two of our friends started and I think it is such a great show. Katelyn Marando and Taylor Pearl launched this podcast about a year ago and tend to keep to topics and guests that pertain to those of us living in and around Fishers, Indiana. I see their show as something much bigger because they have such great chemistry together, being sisters helps, and they do a great job with their guests and the social media promotions for their shows—thanks to them, I just did my first dubbed Instagram Reel.
With the exception of my Keep Pursuing Series, this is the first I’ve really shared within my local community what I’m working on regarding the authentic life.
It was a lot of fun recording with them and I think you’ll enjoy the episode:
The second podcast was a return to my friend Matt Ziegler’s Just Press Record podcast and it’s always a good time when we have a chance to get together. I know he initially had one vision in mind for the conversation, but I think I took it in another direction that turned out to be really good and allowed me to share more insight into a major decision I made last year that was ultimately decided by listening to my heart over my brain.
Matt is probably the best podcast host I know, and if you haven't watched any of my previous episodes with him, both on his podcast and LifeDesign+, you'll quickly see why in this episode. The concept for this episode is genius---he had me on to discuss a quote from another one of his episodes that made him think of me, so we got together to discuss a quote a guest had made on another episode of Just Press Record. This is something only Matt could dream up and pull off!
Check out the episode to hear the entire story, including a special example of the Universe presenting omens to help me see the right answer for me at that time:
I hope you enjoy these two episodes!
